When?
The climate became colder again, and it was after the second ice age also called Younger Dryads.
When the climate began colder it also became very dry, which forced them to move somewhere fertile and warmer around 8 – 10 000 years ago.
Why?
Theory 1 – Added Rewards
People choose Agriculture
- pottery
- metallurgy
- textile.
Larger communities.
When the old hunter gatherers came to Lake Galilee, they sacrificed the crops they brought with them to grow new ones – first in order to survive. When they realized that they could grow their own food it became much easier for them to stay at the same place instead of the nomadic lifestyle.

Theory 2 –
Necessity.
- h. g. collapse
- “Younger Dryas”
- New farms in warming climate
Another theory is that the Natufians stayed at Lake Galilee because they had no other choice but to stay and trying to establish, since they were used to having their grains growing wild. No they had no choice but to try growing on their own.

How did life change?
Because they had enough food to finally provide for big families, and they could feed generations. They became much more civilized and organized in their way of living. For example they shared their food in a common storage, and also with more organization they started to need leaders and such.
